Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. Growing up, she listened to traditional music, boleros from the past in addition to traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves tangos as well as operas and other dramatic forms. Her mother taught her to sing, however she started intensifying her vocal instruction by Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally renowned Mexican opera Tenor. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a young student and professional, she performed in many chamber groups and opera choruses from Guadalajara and Mexico City. The year 2000 saw her move to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She also sings in solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects because of her passion as well as a love of music. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor in the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates having the chance to share her passion and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to spread the desire for younger generations in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
