Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was just five years old, she moved to Oxfordshire and attended an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma's dream was to become an actor. When she was six, she joined the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch, where she took classes for acting, singing as well as dancing. By the age of ten she had appeared and played as the main character in several Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone The 2001 film adaption from J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Emma was discovered by agents via their Oxford teacher. After eight consistent auditions producer David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been selected for the roles of the three lead characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's debut on screen came with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's premiere in 2001. It broke all records in the opening day sales as well as opening week-end take-offs and became the top-grossing movie of 2001. The film was praised by critics, as were the performances of its three actors. The Daily Telegraph, an important British publication, described Emma's performance "amazing". Emma was later awarded five prizes for her performance in the movie.
